It was President’s day on Monday. Here’s perhaps the most important statement ever made by a President of the United States, made in our nation’s infancy:

Well, theory confirmed:

Fascists and would-be monarchs don’t seek to shrink the government, as Greg Gutfeld points out. But what he misses is that they actually do shrink the government at first, as they cut away all of the competing agencies and powers to centralize their control.

It’s likely this gets struck down partially or in full as part of the Trump Policy Scam Cycle. But when people show you who they are, believe them.

It’s an open-book test, folks. I am wary of hyperbolic language. I truly am, and I encourage you to be as well. I don’t want to write about politics every single week for a newsletter that’s meant to also talk about faith, culture, and personal growth.

But if your finger isn’t figuratively on the safety of your rifle, you aren’t paying enough attention.
